It can't be worse weather than last year, can it?
Still had a great time though.

Was the weather last year really that bad? I thought there was just drizzle for all the weekend, or something... not that I was there, or anything, that was just my understanding.

I thought there was just drizzle for all the weekend, or something... not that I was there, or anything, that was just my understanding. As far as I can remember, it pretty much chucked it down for about 50% of the time (but was still warm) then was hot & sunny for the rest. So i had my shorts & tee-shirt on, for the sunny bits, then just chucked a poncho over the top for the rainy bits. Repeat those actions, every half an hour, for 3 days - and that was, basically my Green Man for 2006...I still had a good time though ;D So it would take quite a bit of rain, on top of that, to get to the point where it ruined the whole experience for me (Note to whichever deities that control the weather in Wales: That's not a challenge! )

Anybody else a bit worried that the festival might get cancelled if the bad weather continues? A few festivals have already fallen due to the weather and the outlook for the next few weeks is more of the same. The site held up well last year but then the weather had been good before the festival. Cancelled? Hey if last last year survived including TORRENTIAL downpours on Fri and Sat then I see no probs this year. King Creosote blew the clouds away and Micah P Hinson had a ll 5,000 of us should a very very very very rude word to the God Of Rain - lol. the worst thing was the large circular patch slap bang in the front of the stage (seemed to be a disused fountain) which was a soggy quagmire. I think hat could be the only problem area. Even the slopes of grass had non-slip matting on them.

Forecast says no rain for Brecon on Fri and Sat! 'Sunny intervals' is on the BBC website.

Positive thinking everybody - at least we're getting the worst weather out of the way today. It's pissing down here in Brum.

And I am doing a rain dance here in Rickmansworth so that whatever rain comes to the country is attracted here, 200 miles away from Crickhowell

If the ground is already very wet, it'll be a mudbath, even if its dry by Friday. Problems will arriving and leaving by car (anyone experience the tractors at WOMAD?) and the well trodden areas at the front of the main stage (which smelled of poo by late Saturday last year) and on the way to the folkey dokey tent. Hopefully the organisers will be anticipating potential problems in advance.

I've got to admit it's getting better - It's a little better all the time.

Bizarre change from Metcheck, here's hoping it stays that way...
I'm going to make sure I wrap up warm if we do get cold cloudless nights, but I prefer that massively to rain.

I've got to admit it's getting better - It's a little better all the time. Always good to get a Beatles reference in there. Here's hoping we have four rainless days!
