As the old introduction thread was becoming a bit long and unwieldy I though we should start afresh. I'm Dermot, age 46, living in Newport which means I have a short trip to the best festival in the UK, which I've been attending since 2007. I'm also caretaker here which, given the amount of traffic, is not an arduous task We keep this going as a backup for whenever the official forum throws a wobbly, and as a useful resource for hosting file attachments or links to 'unofficial' material

Hi,
I'm Damon, originally from Denbigh in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd in North Wales, but exiled in the flatlands of Peterborough for the last 25 years. I've attended the last two GM festivals with my kids (son aged 12 and daughter aged 10). My wife steadfastly refuses to camp, despite how much fun we tell her it is!
Only just discovered the unofficial forum, which is great as I can now spend twice as much time discussing Green Man as before.
Musically I'm very much a child of the 80's, my first ever love and live gig was Big Country and I survived the musical car crash that was the late 80s/early 90s on a meagre diet of Nirvana and Stone Roses until Britpop livened things up again. After a brief 'having kids gap' returned to live music with renewed passion and eventually arrived at GM via a couple of warm up years at End of the Road.
Not met anyone on the forum yet, maybe next year....

Hi All, I'm Andrew, I live near Brecon so Greenman's on my doorstep. To my shame and frustration 2014 was my first GM but it certainly won't be my last. Already got next year's tickets, only 361 days to go!

Hello, I'm Liz, I'm from Wrenbury on the Cheshire/Shropshire border. I've been to the last 5 Green Men with my partner Jack and our two youngest children (twins aged 10). I really enjoy the forum meets each year and have significantly broadened my musical taste through pursuing recommendations from forum members. We have already bought our Super Early Bird Settler's tickets for GM 2015. It will be the first year we'll come for the whole week, so any helpful hints regarding what to bring and what to do locally will be appreciated. Attachments:

Hello!!!! I am Moz. I am old enough to know better. I have also re-created a forum for a different festival (http://latitudefansforum.freeforums.net/ Do tell your Latitude loving friends.) after Festival Republic took their official one away. This isnt the case with Green Man though, is it? Still....having another place to wax lyrical about the lovely Green Man is great.

Krasnyi here. Green Man regular since 2007. Came on here back then to get advice on taking kids (then aged 1 and 3) to Green Man and everyone was lovely and helpful. 2015 is going to be a blast (if my kids let me see everything I want to see!)

Elizabeth, you are a star! Thanks so much Can't win though - my dream of Natalie Prass not clashing with Viet Cong is realised ... as is my nightmare of Sweet Baboo clashing with Slug

Hello all, Chris from Abergavenny, chrissied - couldn't remember doing this before, so I guess now's a good time. This year was my 10th Green Man. Couldn't make the 2018 meet up. Had a great festival with my new grandson, hopefully he'll carry on in my footsteps!

Hi, I’m Rob, 57 and I live in Cardiff.
I’ve been going since 2007 and it’s a highpoint of my year. Due to family teenage meltdowns in 2019, I’m planning to come alone for the first time in 2020.

Hi, Andy here - I'm from Cardiff - after years and years of not making it, Green Man 2017 was our first time and we've been back since.
Wonderful music and people in breathtaking surroundings. Hope that GM doesn't lose it's magic.

Circelily from Nottingham. My first Green Man was 2007 so this year was my 15th anniversary, although obviously not 15 festivals worth. I love everything about Green Man, especially the rainbows.

Hi Everyone, shame the old forum has finally been given the chop. After some uncertainty I've just booked a flight home and a tangerine field tent, so will be making Greenman once again. Am on the lookout for a ticket, I have no doubt one will be posted on twickets in due course, but if you guys hear of one happy to arrange (probs via twickets!). Nathan (can be reaching on firstname dot emmerich at the gmail.com)

Hi I'm Martyn from Bedfordshire. My first Greenman was 2007...Joanna Newman..... wow that set was sublime but boy was it muddy. Been regularly ever since. Did settlers for the first time last year. I found that worked out very good for easing myself into the festival and exploring the countryside. Pity the old forum has shut down. I always had the impression that people from the GM management read it to take on board moans and suggestions. I hope someone is doing so on this forum.
