anyone have eyes on the cinedrome line-up for friday?
not on the clashfinder - and not in the programme images shared on the efestivals site
trying to find out what time broadside hacks are doing the wicker man songs

Interesting. I was wondering if they were going to do a set over the top of the film with subtitles. Saw some DJ doing that over One flew over the cuckoos nest once. Was good.

yeah - just a short set sadly
but apparently they're planning a full wicker man show to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the film in december

That Lankum/Spencer Cullum clash hurts.
Also, still listening through stuff. Only realised yesterday that Cory Hanson is the guy from Wand and his solo stuff sounds great. One more must-see and a recommendation for others on Sunday.

Anyone new added to the running order? Can't see anyone. Guess the clashfinder is from the programmes which will have gone to print a week or two back, so the TBC is probably confirmed now and we'll find out soon enough. Highly unlikely at that time that it's some secret set by a global megastar.
Had been dreaming the Clientele would appear on the lineup as their new album is my album of the year so far, but it seems they're in California next week.

On the way tomorrow, just packing and writing lists of things not to forget in the morning---we are at the age when the medications to bring list is the longest part.

Anyone else notice the bit in the programme where it says "by day Round The Twist will house not-so-secret sessions from acts across the GM23 billing". This was alluded to on one of the other chats. Seems they’ve relocated the Record Store sessions. Makes sense I guess.

Seems they’ve relocated the Record Store sessions. Makes sense I guess. what looks like the rough trade tent still appears on that map someone posted earlier albeit not specifically identified as that though i suppose they could still have the rough trade tent there selling records - but put on the live sessions themselves in RTT did it become a bit of a bottleneck exiting the courtyard when sessions were on? or maybe they've just seen how oversubscribed most of them get - and figure RTT offers more space

That's a nice idea- the record tent really is just too crowded too often and Round the Twist is near where the acts camp and presumably store their stuff, so nice and easy to pop in and play a few songs.

Yes, I’m sure the record store is still there (hasn’t been run by Rough Trade for last couple of years) but it does get crowded during live sessions but not with people buying stuff. RTT has been slightly dead space during the day too, so I can see the logic, and I’m sure it’s a slightly bigger space too, so more like having an extra stage during the afternoon for those more intimate filmed sessions featuring acts that also play one of the bigger stages over the weekend.

with my card being a bit thin this year (shite line up innit), i'm definitely hoping for a few of the people i DO want to see rocking up at RTT

Me too.On a last listen I did come across Uh who instantly increased the few acts I really want to see--don't know why I missed them first time round but downloaded the album Humanus last night and it's really good.

someone's posted a full map on the efestivals page - and the record shop tent is marked as 'GM records'
so it will still be there - but not necessarily hosting sessions

I think they’ve just decided to host the sessions at RTT instead of as instores. They probably don’t sell many records or books during those sets anyway.

Have always said in my feedback that they need to utilise the RTT stage more as its a wasted space in my opinion. Excited to see some sets in there. They’ll probably have the times up on a board like they used to do with the record store tents.
