My first EOTR as well. Very excited at seeing Ezra Furman on Sunday night, also sad that it will be her last performance.

Enjoyed this year’s End of the Road and good to see other forum faces whilst there. Managed yet another successful festival avoiding RayRad although it may have been a close run thing whilst waiting for the excellent Allah-Lahs and the phenomenal performance by Ezra. And what a Sunday night to finish with the Murder Capital.
Favourite stage must be the garden stage where, can enjoy acts such as Arooj Aftab without people there just to talk. If only GM could follow suit by removing the trade concessions and Green Man pub from the walled garden.
Also, got my early bird ticket for EOTR 2024, no problems getting it booked, just £11 booking fee and all completed with no frustration. Again, GM could learn a lot about how a to make ticket sales more acceptable (if only to limit it to 6 adult tickets per transaction!).

Just back from seeing Wilco supported by Courtney Marie Andrews at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, fantastic.

And I believe that purchasing tickets is a relatively painless procedure.

And I believe that purchasing tickets is a relatively painless procedure. lots of moaning from regular buyers when 2024 tickets went on sale yesterday and the site promptly crashed! but didn't take long to figure out that 'sold out' actually really meant 'refresh the page' and everyone i know who was trying got an early bird before they sold out

A minor glitch which meant a refresh. Not being thrown out and finding all sold out by time logged back in (from reading other people’s experience).
Anyway, it looks like GM are looking at the process and although they are probably sticking with the same company, it looks like they will be reducing the number of tickets that can be purchased in a single transaction and also ending the ‘lottery’ of early bird sales.

After deciding this was our last year of doing festivals we had such a good weekend early birds were promptly purchased.I agree Talking Heads stage is the best, with it being a little out of the way you only head down there if you really want to see the act which results in a silent audience and huge respect and cheering at the end of performances--seating is a bonus for us old fogies.
