Duplicated from the official forum while I learn how to post images
As lucy-in-the-sky pointed out yesterday that it's just over nine weeks to the great day, I think it must be time to start fretting over the weather. A completely pointless exercise perhaps, but nevertheless custom dictates that it must be done.
The normal starting point is the Metcheck event forecast, which normally veers wildly between predictions of arid heatwave and deluges of biblical proportions within the space of a single week, i.e., it's entirely useless. It does create it's own merriment though when it reports scenarios like snow in August, as it did a couple of years ago.
It appears that the event forecast bit of the site has been unavailable for some time though, so I have had to use their premium service to get a prediction for August. It would be nice to think that part of the premium offering might be even a smidgen of accuracy, but I'm not that naive.
I'll try to find someway of linking the forecast as an image beneath this text - I have to tell you that it's not looking good at this early stage (was that a collective jaw drop and exclamation of surprise I heard .... perhaps not)
So while we while away the next nine weeks with updated predictions what are your thoughts?
And better still what are your coping strategies if we don't have a repeat of 2009?
And just what did the druids do in 2009 that kept Glanusk dry when it appeared to be raining just outside the site perimeter.
