I might be trying my luck, but does anybody have one?
We already have camping tickets, but now have a 'live in vehicle' as of a week, so we're pretty keen to use it!
Otherwise, (long shot), is it ok to sleep in the carpark?
Otherwise, (even longer shot), is there anywhere nearby suitable for parking/sleeping and from where we could walk in?
Thanks!

Sometimes when it get very close to the event. If an individual can't go - they advertise on the main forum or ebay. Bit risky waiting that long though, as it's usually last minute. As far as I'm aware sleeping in the car park is not allowed. There are a couple of hotels and B&B in crickhowel, but if you think you'll have to go down that route then best to try and book quickly as they probably go very fast. Could you grit your teeth and use a tent? The others on this site might come up with a few more ideas, as they've been going to GM since the dawn of time.

I don't think you'll get away with staying in the car parking area. There are specific insurance implications associated with live-in vehicles at festivals and the rules are normally strictly applied. There is a basic campsite about a mile from the festival site. I don't know if it gets booked up but it's never looked particularly busy when I've passed by it during the festival. Other that that, it just a case of waiting and hoping that a ticket turns up on the forums. They always have in previous years, but then again the live-in vehicle tickets have never sold out so quickly. Good luck whatever you do

Thanks for responses...
Of course we're happy to 'grit our teeth' and camp (as we have with every other festival we've ever been to), I was just wondering if there was any way we might get away with staying in our van - either onsite or off it.
We'll wait until closer to the time and see if anything changes, I guess. If not, tent it is!

The camping experience at Green Man is a fair bit more civilised than at many other festivals. After a couple of days at Glastonbury you're pretty much living in squalor, but at Green Man things are set up so much better that you don't get that feeling that you might go feral.
