Hi, we have got a holiday ticket and would like to go exploring the local area on foot a bit, especially walking in the Beacons. Does anyone know any good walks form the Green Man site? Cheers

There are lots depends what you want- strenuous or easy. The tourist centre in Crickhowell has detailed leaflets for about 50p . Table top mountain is good . A few hours and lovely views over the valley

I'm doing the holiday ticket and I'm looking into a few walks too.
Am I right in thinking that one can walk from Glanusk park to Llandgnidr via a canal? It's a bit difficult to tell from the map I've got. Also does anyone no what sort of shops are in Llandnidr, as I'm goning to need some food stuffs.

When I say Llandgnidr I think I should be saying crickowell. But am I right in thinking that the bridge we see as we drive towards GM is Llandgnidr Bridge?
I'm getting confused, as someone today told be the Llandgnidr was a region.

Although I like walking 30 ish minutes sounds alot better than an hour. Taxi is good idea too if we're loaded with food. I'm definatley getting excited about it all.

bear in mind that you'll be walking along a well used road without any pavements too
if you do it after dark, take a torch
mostly to point at yourself when you hear cars approaching
cheers ray
