We're usually starting to fret about the weather round about now, but after last year's torrential downpour, it would pretty much take snow to make 2009 worse, weather-wise.
I'm feeling pretty optimistic about the weather this summer, me.

I think the weather will do what it wants, as usual. We will do what we want be it wet or dry.

Indeed it is. Grass is green, I wonder if it will remain visible this year.

Got home last year and discovered an earthworm, quite large, living in the mud in turn up of a pair of jeans.

My daughter released him into the wild. No doubt the trial erection of the tent this weekend will draw him back.

Long range forecast for August from weatheroutlook.
The first half of the month may well bring rather changeable conditions with showery rain at times, and temperatures close to average. Some drier spells are likely at times, and there may be a tendency for the best conditions to be further north, and possibly into Scotland.
During the second half of the month high pressure increasingly settled weather is likely to develop. This should mean an increasing chance of drier and warmer weather developing for much of the time. Southern areas in particular may have some very warm days.

I actually don't care whether it rains again or not. It really had no effect on my mood either last year or the year before. I kind of like it that it rains and everyone is so happy in spite of it.
