... that's the nice man from Amtrak couriers with my delivery of Brother's pear cider (festival strength of course). I'm just about to get a bottle from the fridge - only the one for 'goods inwards' quality control inspection mind The rest have to last to cover the Village Pump festival next week and Green Man

They were selling Brothers for a quid a bottle in Asda's the other week. In the interest of quality control I also sampled one or four, it wasn't bad stuff, not quite as fizzy as I was expecting though. I don't mind the pear Bulmer's that's kicking around too, but I'm afraid the credit crunch is preventing me from reaching for the Kopparberg. I won't allow such concerns bother me though when the Wye Valley and the perry is a flowin' come the 15th of August.

yummy....but didn't think you could take any glass bottles onto the site? Surely it cant be decanted can it or am I missing something? That is indeed the rule. However in previous years, provided you're discreet about it and dispose carefully then you're not going to have all your stuff searched for any bottles. The important thing is not to leave empties where they can cause any injury or where numpties (very few and far between at GM) can start chucking them around. Of course any sort of glass bottle in the main arena area is a complete no-no. If you're going to have to lug your stuff from the car part to the camping area you'll want to save weight anyway so cans are probably a better idea. Those of us enjoying the luxury of the live-in vehicle area can be a little more flexible The above is based on my and others experience of previous GMs - remember that the rules may be more strictly enforced this year. I should also mention that Brother's do sell some of their fine products in plastic bottles - not the festival strength Perry though, which is odd
