oh god
please, not battles
the whole point of green man is to have bands who won't be playing every other bloody festival
what makes it so great is that it's different - and not just another stop off point on the summer rounds
yes to everyone else you mention though
(even if VOTSW burned a few bridges last year by being so grumpy )
cheers ray

Battles were one of the highlights for me of last years Green Man, it's about experimental music - not just folk or alternative music. You don't get much more experimental than Battles. Their set last year was packed out and rockin'. You must've missed just how many people enjoyed Battles...

Seeing Battles once is enough of a good thing for me. I'm afraid I didn't get them. I am in no hurry to repeat the experience. In fact I'd sooner stick my head in a bucket and hit it with a heavy stick.

I thought Battles were immense, one of my highlights of the festival. They're really trying to do something different and challenging which is ace, and I definitely wouldn't say they were a band that "does the rounds." They provoke debate, clearly, which hardly makes them mainstream! I'd definitely like to see them again.
