Hi Thomas ... good to have you along. You'll have noticed that most of the chat takes place on the Official Forum these days as it's the one people find first. There's some historical info here that you might find useful and, after the festival we usually all retreat here for some peace and quiet as the main forum will be taken over by the righteous indignation of all the horrified folk who went to the festival for the first time and found dirty mud, and loud music, and people smoking, and kids having fun, and lots of other atrocities

Hi Rob,
This forum was set up by some newbies a few years ago to find out what Green Man was all about.
Most of us have become regular attendees and will be only to happy to answer any questions you have, either here or on the official forum.

Hi all. Just found this forum after lurking on the official one!
I've been to quite a few Glastos over the years. Went to my first one in six years last year and, despite wall to wall sunshine, I realised it's just too busy these days. Took the family to GM last year (first time) and, despite the rain, loved it. The size, the setting, the vibe.
Looking forward to Low Anthem and Burns Unit in particular.

Hi biffo - good to have you along Low Anthem and Burns Unit are two of the unfortunate potential clashes I have. BU with Oh Ruin although BU will almost certainly win out and LA with Gruff Rhys which is 50/50 at the moment - oh the tyranny of choice

Hi Peridot. Good news..... It's Iron & Wine on the same time as Gruff..... assuming last year's times are used again. (LA finish just before Gruff starts hopefully). This is my main clash really but think I will watch Gruff then catch the end of Iron & Wine. If I'm still awake.....

Hello! First GM this year for me, Mrs Graph, Steppy II and the new wee graphite. I shall be bringing my ukulele. It's new and I can barely play it, but hey-ho... a good place to try and learn.

So am I really the first new member since Kyra way beck in Aug 2011? Oh well, I'm not keen on busy crowds : )
This year will be my 3rd Green Man - I love it! Music is quite secondary for me, I go for the relaxed, chilled atmosphere which can be lacking at other festivals (Old? Me?)
Oh! and Hello.

Hi greggy and welcome. It is a bit quiet here alright, but there are a few regulars that check by every now and then in case it has suddenly burst into life again. If we get hold of any running time / site layout information that we can host here it will get busier as we get closer to the festival. If you have any ideas of how we can use this as a resource distinct from the main GM website with its very limited forum facility let us know

Hello everyone, Bard of Ely here! I was at the first two Green Man Festivals as a performer and am on the festival CD too so some of you will know who I am. Anyway I just joined this forum because I have published an online article about how the festival inspired me to dye my beard green! I have posted the link in the Shameless Promo forum.

Hi Dan, Just ask your friend to save a space for you. This forum does not get used too often anymore, but it is a good reference. Most people have migrated to the official forum. www.greenman.net/forum By the way the festival is situated in the most amazing suroundings. Have a great festival.
