I'd love to see some or a lot of the following occupying a slot somewhere on next years billing.....
Will Oldham - No introduction needed.....
MV & EE & The Bummer Road - If we can have PG Six this year then why not ramp it up another notch and get his one time collaborators Matt Valentine/Erika Elder for next year. Or why not go the whole hog and see if we can get a Tower Recordings reformation.
The Boban Markovich Quartet - Balkan folk maestro extrodinaire.
Dan Haywoods New Hawks - From the same stable as Nancy Elizabeth, a Midlander supplanted into a Lancastrian musical unit playing their own take on Hebridian folk (if that even makes sense). Also when I saw them back in March this year they had Johnny Cash's lap steel player with them, which made it excellent.
Panda Bear - Yes that panda bear
Grampall Jookabox - They dub themselves "Jungle Folk"
Deer Tick - Rising star in the mid west, think Phil Elverum with a more country tinge.
Little Wings - Seeing as he couldn't make it in 06 perhaps he can be tempted to make the trip over here.
Jason Anderson - Formerly Wolf Colonel, now recording under his own name, think Springsteen and your close.
Sir Richard Bishop - Former Sun City Girl (RIP Charles Gocher) a vetren guitar wrangler of some 25 years.....

Have ye heard Kyle's contributions to the Be-Gulls album? Yet another masterstroke in an already bustling catalogue of involvement!
