Whilst I wouldn't personally take a laptop to a festival, I respect other people's right to do so. If I get home from Green Man and someone's been good enough to post a load of pictures and blogs, I'll think it's great.
Each to their own, horses for courses.

"....with a laptop". "...how can we blog"! What the hell! Leave the bloody thing at home! I've heard about this kind of 'retro-blogging' that's the thing at the moment, it seems quite straight forward, apparently it's called 'talking to people - face to face'. You don't need a PC or Wi-Fi, you just need to be able to string a sentence together (without the need to 'spell-check'!). Rant over! I'm a journalist, at the festival on a press pass, interviewing the bands. As much as I'd love to leave the bloody thing at home, I can't.

Five years from now, all new tents will probably have laptops sewn into them at the factory, and you will be able to email yourself to festivals, and home again whenever you need the toilet.

There's something to be said for going to shows / festivals with no technology at all. Having said that, the ability to email yourslef places would be great

I posted this message using my phone. It's a lot slower than with a computer, but still quite cool to know that we might be able to post while we're there!

Mine to was a little 'tongue in cheek'! Sorry if I (unintentionally) offended anyone! I intend to bring my Commodore 64 or if I can't get the tape deck to work, I'll bring the Vic 20! See you tomorrow!

Just to confirm the meet-up - am I right in thinking that it's 7pm on Thursday 16th August 2007, at the Green Man cafe, and that we'll all be meeting around Warthog's flag?
