will anyone actually have their flags at the meet? I thought flags were to help people find tents If anyone wants to meet earlier, let me know - looks like my friends are going to Cardiff earlier than I thought. I can always wander about looking for familar faces and flags!

I'm aiming to be on site for 5:30 ish - it takes me approx 10 mins to pitch my tent (i've timed it!), so will be in the cafe from 6:30 ish. That's if I don't break into the gin and tonic before hand....

My flag's going to be staying with my tent... until it falls down and kills some poor soul.
The "Post a Picture of Yourself" thread should be an invaluable recsource for recognition.

Maybe we need some kind of code phrase, to recognise fellow 'boarders'? Then, when someone sees a likely looking stranger, in the Green Man cafe, they can sidle up to them and whisper "the mist is on the swonaggles". A reply of "but the ducks are still nesting" would mean that contact has been made (It's Moscow rules, you know... )

this is cool as...
i second "your butterfly is a horse"
i've teamed up with Kerry and am not bringing my flag now (a bit too upsetting), but will have a multi couloured wind spinner on a stick. when i say stick, i mean one of the 4M flag poles as i'm such a short arse, no one would see a stick!

Alreet, code is Scary Carnival.
At seven o'clock- go to as many people and say "Scary Carnival" to them, if they don't understand they're clearly not in the 'in crowd'. But, if you get a knowing nod of the head, then you've been successful

"....with a laptop". "...how can we blog"! What the hell! Leave the bloody thing at home! I've heard about this kind of 'retro-blogging' that's the thing at the moment, it seems quite straight forward, apparently it's called 'talking to people - face to face'. You don't need a PC or Wi-Fi, you just need to be able to string a sentence together (without the need to 'spell-check'!).
Rant over!
