Can't remember some of the finer details of the festival last year, being out of my tree most of the time, but can anyone remember any Cash Points at the Festival, or if there will be any this year, granted not in the essence of the greenman festival to be honest, so where isthe nearest main town, as i don/'t drive i have no idea of distance or direction...........

Having ready cash would seem to be the essence of all entertainment-based events. Having said that, I queued up for cash at the V Festival a few years ago and it took forever.

Cash machines at festivals are never good, ever. Just take the cash you need.

I tend to use them as I don't like to carry too much cash. I wasn't queued up long as I recall but you never know. Same advice as with Festival Toilets probably apply - try and go early in the day.

I had a nightmare at T in the Park queuing for hours for cash after I spent all my money on laughing gas.
There's a lesson to be learned there.

I saw this photo and thought "Wow, there are no queues for cash at Green Man!": www.flickr.com/photos/44067831@N00/225297199/in/pool-greenmanfestival/I take it there are queues, but not as bad as most of the big festivals? I've been to Leeds Festival 3 times, and always thought it was quicker to get the shuttle bus to Tesco and use the cash machine there (while doing the shopping at the same time). The cash machine queues at Leeds were a nightmare.

There were no queues at all last year for the machines, but then again the more I read these forums the less I can remember about last year, was I monged or just not paying attention :-)

There were queues but I found it intensely unreliable and there was a whopping surcharge for using it £3 or more if I remember correctly. It was clearly marked on the site map and was accessible at all times.
