I've been checking out some of the stuff I wasn't familiar with and can thoroughly recommend the following: Monkey Swallows the Universe - gorgeous, uplifting and perfect for a balmy summer's afternoon (whatever that is) Gilbert - a revelation, not sure how to categorise it (always a good sign) but always leaves me with a grin on my face. Fanfarlo - sunny, folky pop, puts me in mind of an English Sufjan Stevens - joyous!
Really looking forward to seeing some of the more familiar stuff too - Euros Childs, the great James Yorkston, PG Six (his latest is a belter), Richmond Fontaine and Gruff Rhys (Candylion is a classic)
Now stop bloody raining!

Which acts are perfect for listening to while huddled under a tarpaulin in a puddle? They might be the best ones to plan on seeing!

King Creosote in the Rain last year was excellent, my highlight...... with no shelter from the rain... there needed to be room to dance.....

Does anybody know if the headliner on the main stage is on at the same time as the healiner on the Folkey Dokey stage? If they are then there's an annoying clash straight away for me with Joanna Newsom and Tuung!

Last year there was a difference of ten minutes or so, so I managed to catch all of Jose Gonzalez (sat main stage headliner) and then still make the end of Keiren Hebden (sat folky dolky headliner). On the plus side, it's not far between stages so easy to catch a bit of both.

Gruff Rhys (Candylion is a classic) You reakon? I thought it was shite. Maybe I need another go. His first one is sublime though.

Its the big sopping circular patch directly in front of the main stage that will be the problem if it rains. But the whole main stage area affords great view and sounds.

I wish I had gone last year, I always end up not managing to see Micah P Hinson for one reason or another
