To those who've been to Green Man before - is there any kind of convenience store set up for festival purposes, where we can get milk, etc, or is it best to bring it ourselves?
We do like a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate over at our tent...
Apologies if this seems a mindless question. This Green Man will be my first, so I'm counting on guidance from you festival aficianados.
Thanks!

Yes the General Store was one of the (very few) low points for me last year. His chocolate for example was stale and the markup for newspapers was nothing short of disgraceful. The other 'ethnic' shops were excellent - my kids loved the Poi shop most of all.

Yes that shop was disgraceful in many ways - especially as they knew they'd a captive audience.

They'll charge what they can get away with, won't they? Vote with you wallet.

Yes many people last year said they thought that that was actually illegal and that if the shop was a REAL newsagent they could lose their contarct to sell papers for doing that. It's the reason papers are the same price wherever you buy them in the UK.

Did I hear that there's an offlicence very close to the camping/arena? Within walking distance type thing?

The best option is to just not pay the money and then you haven't been ripped off.

There's a TESCO for sure IIRC. people strolled there first thing in the mornings on all days. Tesco's website have a store locator that says the nearest one is about 6 miles from the festival, in Ebbw Vale. There's an Asda 5 miles from the festival at Brynmawr. I also found this one, 3 miles from the site... Walnut Tree Stores Coed Yr Ynys Rd, Lower Llangynidr, Crickhowell, Powys NP8 1NA Tel: 01874 730309
And this one, 2.1 miles... Grenfells & Sons 21, High St, Crickhowell, Powys NP8 1BD Tel: 01873 810252And this one, also 2.1 miles, in the same area of Crickhowell G & E Jehu 1, Standard St, Crickhowell, Powys NP8 1BP Tel: 01873 810321 There's also a Post Office and newsagents etc. in Crickhowell according to my quick skim on Yell.com

That's brilliant. Thanks, everybody, for all the information!
Have to be honest, the prospect of watery UHT milk causes an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.. but if it brings an end to this ruthless profiteering!
And rest assured, I'll steer clear of the the general store at all costs and loudly warn my fellow campers it's best to be avoided. This way we'll look less like Green Man n00bs.
