Just got a wind up lantern as I've had my fill a latter batteries lasting about 2 hours. I've thought about getting one of those - to save on batteries (plus saving the planet, and all that...) - but haven't been able to find one for less than 30 quid so far. Have you been able to find a supplier of cheap, wind-up lanterns - or am I going to have to splash out 30 squids to help prevent global-warming? (did you know that every time someone uses an AA battery, a baby seal gets clubbed to death with a panda...!?)

I have a Solar Powered MP3 Charger! (err...for my MP3 Player). Trouble is, I need 6 D Cell's for my CD Player!
Though I suppose I should be listening to the live music!
Or maybe those F***ing bongo players!
Does Djembe translate as "an annoying bloke with little or no musical talent, banging on a big drum that he's paid way over the odds for on Ebay"?
Or am I being disrespectful to the primeval African art?
Or are they?

Cost £30 but justified it by thinking of a long term item as we try to go to a couple of festivals and can use it if we go on camping holidays.

I bought a wind up torch which was supposed to charge my phone too in the Blacks sale, £6.50.
Didn't work very well though, might be that I'm not winding it fast enough

I was totally gobsmacked at what people took with them last year - truly astonishing the mobilisation that takes place when people arrive at the site. People with wheelbarrows FULL of stuff.
