I got one of these delivered the other day in case it rains. 13 quid delivered, and it folds up really small, despite being a voluminous thing that you could comfortably shelter two other people under if you were of a mind to. There's me sorted if it starts raining, there's even room to keep my pint dry under it.

has anyone seen any women's waterproof poncho things? most shops only seem to sell them for kids, and looking at that one, I think I'd trip over it, I'm not very tall!

I ordered one too last week but am worried it won't arrive as they say allow 7(!) working days for delivery. Argh!
I'm not worried though, as IT'S NOT GOING TO RAIN. Do you hear me God? I said it's not going to rain!

I ordered one too, last week. The count is currently at 8 working days - with still no sign of it I do have a back-up, though, in the shape of my cheapo, Argos poncho, from last year - but, with everyone wearing the fancy 'camo' version, I was worried that I'd look 'sooo last year' in it... (Actually...if everyone is wearing camouflage pattern ponchos, any photos taken, while it is raining, are going to look like the bands are playing to an empty field ;D) But, like you say martyziff, IT'S NOT GOING TO RAIN, IT'S NOT GOING TO RAIN! (if enough of us say it, do you think it'll have the desired effect...?)

My poncho came pretty quickly - maybe all of the Unofficial Green Man people have caused a bottleneck in the poncho factory?
Tip for those who have got / are getting one of these ponchos - don't wear it with shorts, it makes you look like a flasher.

Strangely, not too many shops seem to be stocking raincoats, ponchos and the like. Anyone know where I can get one of those cheap transparent raincoats (perfect flashing apparel)? Maybe a camping/outdoorsy shop would be a safe bet...

Hello, For those of you who live in Wales (or spot one as you're driving through) Hyper Value (Value) have got adult and kids ponchos in some of the stores. They were £1 but as they are closing down *sob* they are probably something ridiculous like 70p now. Wouldn't help if you're standing in a torrential downpour (like Glade/Workhouse!) but will do to keep you dryer if caught in a shower. Have fun everyone, I'm still holding out for a cheap last minute ticket today, FRiday or Sat (wish me luck!) and I hope you won't need rain ponchos

The army poncho turned out to be a very useful purchase, both for keeping the rain off and sitting on when I didn't have my folding chair.

My 'camo' poncho turned up on the day I left for the GreenMan - unfortunately it turned up 3 hours after I had already left So I had to resort to the old 'cheapo', Argos poncho, from last year - which did the job, before finally giving up the ghost and ripping on Sunday. So the new poncho is all ready for next year. ;D In the meantime, it has come in handy for me 'entertaining' my girl-friend by jumping out of dark corners, whilst impersonating a camouflaged 'Dementor' (I say 'entertain' - the more accurate description would be 'annoy & enrage'... )
