Aynone who's been to a festival will have their own favourite story about a horrible toilet experience, but the Green Man has a good reputation in the lavvy department.
What's your opinion if you've been before? Classy bogs, or bog standard?

Very good Toilets, always clean, only catering for 7,000 people. so I guess they will be good, although I did have a bit of a bad experience on coming out of one last year...... although i was tripping of my nut at the time.....

Having survived Guilfest recently where the organiser's pathetic attempt to have excellent toilet facilities led to raw effluent flowing across the main entrance all weekend, I can only say that Green Man cannot be worse.
Although I haven't been before, I understand that Green Man employs the 'turdis' type portaloos, which I consider the ideal solution for festivals. Provided they are emptied and blasted clean on a regular basis (and there are enough of them) they offer the best compromise for this environment.

although i was 'out of it' for the majority of the greenman festival last year, the few times i used them they were very clean, i think maybe a group of stealth fairies gather in the small hours to springle some cleansing glitter, i don't not recall any 'shit shifters' like at glasto though.

My favourite toilet story was from Wickerman last year, a bloke was sat waiting for the loos and kept hearing the doors bang and kept looking up to see which loo they had come out of and kept missing them then realised he'd been sat behind the toilet block for 10 minutes - true story Hope the greenman pisstrucks are back, great idea

Well there is the old story of a 23 yr old lad at glasto on his birthday, his mates locking him in a toilet, unloosening it from the ajoining toilets and rolling it down a hill........ this was a sunday evening by the way at Glastonbury can you imagine??? Ewwwwww.....

They weren't too bad last year, and were usually stocked with paper! (very unusual for a festival)
I'd still bring a roll or two just in case though.

I want to find some of that antibacterial gel stuff you sometimes see for sale. You know, you rub it into your hands, I think it's similar to the stuff they have everywhere in hospitals to stop germs spreading.
The way I look at it, festivals are the one place where you eat most of your food with your hands, and yet can't wash them properly.

As well as being very clean and often stocked with toilet roll I seem to recall that there was antibacterial hand wash in most of the toilets last year.
Even the toilets at glastonbury aren't that bad any more as long as you avoid the ones next to the main stages.

most of the toilets, see. You can bet serious money that I'll find myself in the minority that have no handwash every time I go.
Thanks for the info though, it's good to know that they've made an effort with these things.

I want to find some of that antibacterial gel stuff you sometimes see for sale. I got some in Aldi a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if it was a 'special' or something they stock regularly. 2 bottles for a quid

A lot of the supermarkets stock them, i took to carrying some at work with me. Loads of teenage kids + toilets + shared keyboards = ew! I got a small bottle from asda if you dont make it to Aldi. Thinking though I have not been to Aldi in ages!

Me neither, but whenever I have gone in they tend to have all sorts of stuff that you don't see anywhere else. Last time I went to one, though, I tried to pay with my debit card and ended up having to leave my shopping there while I went to find a cashpoint.

I've got a mini travel bottle of that hand gel stuff, I think I got it from bodycare or superdrug, not sure. I'm sure they'd have it in supermarkets though, if not, antibacterial wipes?

I got a small bottle from Morrisons at the beginning of June and it has lasted through Wychwood, IOW and Glastonbury. You don't need to use a lot of the stuff.

Bogs at the greenman fest were superb last year ( I think ) Had handwash and loo roll ( mostly ) Toliets are toilets and they generally stink but but these ones were not bad ( For festivals)

I will have a bottle or two to hand (no pun) of antibacterial handrub as I use it at work in the hospital and your welcome to share it with me.
