Good afternoon, as it's my first time at GM, just wondering what time the last acts usually finish & what's a gent like myself to do of an evening afterwards. Usually at these kind of shindigs, one wakes generously late of a morn, & after a stout luncheon & several light ales, one can expect 40 winks or so mid afternoon ready for the late push into the evening. This leaves one rather alert & perky come the end of the main frivolities, so wot a jot does one do? Is there any extra-curricular activities, wot?

How polite ;D
Our experience last year was that it was slightly frowned upon chatting / singing at our tents late on (we had a number of complaints), so we found it was best to stay in the main area, the bars are open till about 3 or 4 and there is a communal campfire with lots of singing / chatting and there are lots of lovely places to sit around in the gardens until the sun comes up, its really good that they don't kick you out of the main area as soon as the bands have finished like at some festivals
Have a great festival !!

Admit you're going to get off your mash on ecstasy pipes!!
Regardless, there is plenty of action at the communal fire and bars to keep you entertained.
Could do with someone taking a soundsystem this year.
We got abuse for talking on our way back to the tents last year. I have NO IDEA why people like that go to festivals.

Sounds delightful, yes I agree, when one does retire to one's chamber, one expects a modicum of decorum, but a rousing singaling round the bonfire is rather cheery. I rather a lungful of The Dambusters to round off a spiffo evening, wot.

I ended up out of my skull, entertaining people up at the camp fire on saturday evening by doing my legendery robotics....... i know there are videos somewhere........ i was the 'robot man'...
Friday evening me and me mates spent 5 hours drinking and joking around the green man cafe bandstand too...... left a mate asleep on there ....there are photos somewhere.....
Thursday and sunday evenings just got canned at our camp, and had a wander tripping our nuts off...... to many of us for some one to say keep the noise down....... not that we were that loud like...lol
This year we have no less than 6 guitarists, 1 accordian/melodica player and an harmonica player, i'm sure we can find a bongo player somewhere too lol...... so some nice little impromtu sing-a-longs round our camp will be had next weekend....you are all welcome.....

There was a cool we Circus hidden away that we only discovered on the last night and a large campfire was set up there very very late on - this was to the back of the Dance Tent. It was a well kept secret. The bands ended at Midnight last year and the Dance Tent as I recall was on till much later - 1am?
