just a reminder of this week's jolly mail out
"We listened to feedback from last year and Ticketline have made changes that will improve the ticket buying process."

people starting to get the 'sold out' message on adult tickets
though this happened last year, and repeated refreshing eventually made them available again

That was frustrating, got through to the queue on phone but hung up when I got on line. Ordered tickets, thinking I was logged on to my account, only to find it needed my password, which I could not reset without leaving the page and starting again.
At 11.40 still on the holding page but, phoning a friend who was having the same problems (having been thrown off a couple of times already) and was able to buy my settler ticket with their order. So very very grateful to them.
In summary, Ticketline stinks.
Hope the rest of you made it.

I had almost exactly the same experience, rayrad, including finding I'd donated £5!
Great that you were finally successful. But yes, why Ticketline when I understand it was also a shambles last year?

But yes, why Ticketline when I understand it was also a shambles last year? deffo some kind of backhander going on there don't know how else they can defend it ticketline just don't have the server capacity to handle the demand a simple queing system - telling you where you are in the queue - would relieve a lot of stress and stop their socials blowing up with quite so much invective but hey ho - it sells out every year - so what do GM care?

There are still motorhome and tickets tickets available if you select Payment plan from the GM site

Someone on Twitter purchased their tickets only to find they'd only been charged for the £5 charity donation.
GM responded to them that they did NOT therefore have tickets.
Their total payment was £6.75 as they'd also been charged £1.75 "postage" on their charity donation!!!!
As for us, I haven't a clue whether or not we have tickets. Got a time-out, a payment out, a refund, another payment out and an email. I think the email means probably yes but was sitting on "processing payment" page for over an hour before it crashed.

At least it sounds like a lot of people will have accidentally bought an extra one so there'll be plenty on twickets.

Finally got there, but also donated £5 as it seemed like too much hassle to remove it without risking whole order going tits up. Not had email confirmation yet though. It really is a far more stressful experience than it should be. For a start they give us all a presale link.

The Charity donation was behind a closed drop-down and defaulted to 1 = £5. Not surprising that so many people ‘donated’.

Made it! FYI it told me at one point that adult settlement tickets are sold out, but I risked a refresh and it seemed to go through okay. Weird.
See you settlers (and everyone else who gets through the labyrinth) in 2024.

Went through, finally. Like most people, our group has ended up with more tickets than we needed due to uncertainty over whether tickets were booked or not*, blind panic and all that - so, people who would have otherwise have been able to lock a ticket in now will be desperately checking Twickets or (in a lot of cases) just giving up on GM at all
Feel terrible about it but ultimately, it's all down to it being a disaster of a system
*Including multiple £1000+ purchases which were taken out by the bank, no confirmation sent, then the payment mysteriously reappearing but no real idea as to whether the money has actually been taken or not - not a nice position to put people in
