Peridot - could you tell the new moderator (Walter) that I can log in but when I try to post nothing happens?

Walter does not look very capable, but I'm sure he'll be marking his territory over there.
Poor dog looks like his pissed on the floor and is now being told off.

LOL ;D A snarling Rothweiler might have made a more effective avatar, but not quite the spirit of GM perhaps I've asked him if there's a means of contacting him for those who are unable to post.

I like the look of Walter.... there is more to him than meets the eye! The problem isn't logging in, the problem is posting to the official forum. I can post from an account registered to my work email. I cannot post from an account registered to my home email- which has been through FOUR GM forums. All accounts include 'Cyfarthfa' in the username. Oh dear. I do miss the official forum. I like being the only person on this forum (apparantly) who knows about the buses in s Wales. Any ways up. Hows about meeting this year?

Walters also gona being dragging his bott along the floor. However, he can also probably be bribed with a few tasty morsels. Yeh... I quite like him too, but exactly how did he beat off the competition?

Ah well let's see what little Wally can do eh? Really should try to meet up this year. We say this every year. We do say this every year and to date I've never made it usually 'cos the kids want to do something else and I'm too knackerd having struggled with the tent to lay down the law or, in the case of last year, 'cos it's absolutely pissing down!

Ahem, i thought you might like my loveable rogue avatar, clearly not. Walter's about to get tough (looking). Well anyway, i've dragged myself (bottom on the ground the whole way) over from the official forum to say hi and see what the problems are. I've noted the error messages and I've got the top (techy dog) on it.
My chimpy pal mailchimp sends and delivers all the mail outs individually to thousands, so be easy on the fella.
We'll get this fixed and you lot back on the forum asap.
Mojo- it involved a game called centurion and lots of cider. Needless to say, bloody mary's were the only remedy the following day.

Arrh...... Walter you seem quite an loveable chap. I now see how you beat off the competition. Respect ! And load of kisses all over your face. You do look cute. You are obviously a working hound.
All sillyness aside thank for trying to help out the fokes on here who can't use the official forum. I do like the avatar.

Any ways up. Hows about meeting this year? Well Walter's efforts to have paid off and it's good to see some life coming back into the official site. Still a shame that it's such a crap forum system but we'll just have to live with it. Always up for a meet but it would have to be from Friday onwards for me. Mrs Peridot hasn't overcome her aversion to mud so it's just myself and mud-loving daughter again this year

Mrs Cyfarthfa is just about willing to give it another go this year, though with great doubt about the wisdom of the venture. The girls are a bit keener, although the promises I have had to make are many and varied. At one point I really thought I would be going on my own. But who knows, perhaps it will be dry or at least a little less wet. I hope I don't lose the car keys this year. Last year Mrs Cyfarthfa had to get the X4 back to Merthyr for the spare set. Fortunatly a kindly neighbour gave her a lift back. The atmosphere in the tent was great that thursday night, let me tell you.

Surprised any of your family want to go again after last year's shenanigans! Great story though. Beats our 'leaving the tent pegs behind in 2007' into a cocked hat. Heard about friends who managed to get their kids looked after for the weekend and are coming on their own. Jammy sods (much as I love my kids of course). Our two would be gutted if they missed Green Man though. Last year will be hard to top for my daughter (chatting to Caitlin Rose and staying up late for Billy Bragg).

There are grumblings krasnyi. Very definite grumblings. My daughters love it, but my partner tolerates it. I wouldn't mind just going with the girls really. They both loved Billy Bragg, Caitlin Rose and Mountain Man last year. I only hope Iron and Wine live up to their hopes this time round.

... The atmosphere in the tent was great that thursday night, let me tell you. I think we can all imagine it Hope you have nothing so eventful this year. Mrs. Peridot is not as keen on live music as I am (at least not if it involves standing in rain and mud watching previously unknown acts), and the first couple of years I wasn't getting to see as much as I wanted and she wasn't particularly enjoying herself. Now she sorts out a night out or two with her mates while we head off to GM and everyone's happier
