You are right into Malkmus aren't you. I'll have to check his solo stuff out. Do it man, knock Pig Lib into ya. You and I have to do Microwave Dave and all that stuff one night after hours when we are all drunk and that. If you get drunk enough, will you do the arse-cheek slapping percussion on Judy And The Dream Of Horses? I'd be very disappointed if you don't.

You might be disappointed, was planning on keeping arse in trousers. If anyone else would like to volunteer some posterior percussion their contribution would be most welcome.

Stuff I've seen before and would like to see again:
Tunng, King Creosote, Vashti Bunyan, Lisa Knapp, Alasdair Roberts.
Stuff I've heard but haven't seen and want to:
Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, Fanfarlo, Slow Club, Gethin Pearson, Monkey Swallows the Universe, Fridge, Six Organs of Admittance, Voice of the Seven Woods, Starless and Bible Black, Diane Cluck, Nancy Elizabeth, Charlotte Greig.
Looks like I'll be busy. Should be seeing Alela Diane here in Aberdeen next week. Will let you know what she's like.

I've been listening to "Green Man Friendly" music, lately. So, 99% of the stuff I'm listening to are people at Green Man.
Some I wanted to see before I started looking into the lineup more deeply: Joanna Newsom (again), Robert Plant, Battles, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Vashti (again), Six Organs of Admittance, Monkey Swallows The Universe, Devendra, Misty's Big Adventure, Findlay Brown and others.
Some of the new discoreries I'd like to catch: The Aliens, The Broken Family Band, Dead Meadow (didn't like their stuff at first, but I'm getting into it now), Low Low Low La La La Love Love Love, The Earlies, James Yorkston, Tunng and Thee Stranded Horse.
Also, the DJ tent promises to be faaaaabulous darling!

I've given up with the 'getting to know the bands via myspace' approach and have decided to go with the 'wander around and enjoy the unknown' approach. Should find a gem or two.

No. They are way more psychedelic than black sabbath and less rock. Great live band, but they clash with Alela Diane who I really want to see. this may be the point but don't dead meadow just sound EXACTLY like black sabbath?

No. They are way more psychedelic than black sabbath and less rock. Great live band, but they clash with Alela Diane who I really want to see. Dead Meadow are more psychedelic live, saw them and Arbouretum in Nottingham last night. Both were great but I think I'll be seeing Alela Diane at Green Man, going to try and catch Arbouretum again if they don't clash with anyone else
