Problem solved. I told him he couldn't put it up on his on and he'd probably have to wait for me. So now he's determined to put it up on his own. If it's a tunnel style tent then he'll be fine, but if it's a 'dome' type with the criss-crossing poles don't let him be too stubborn to grab someone to go inside and push up the poles as he gets them into the pins. You don't want broken poles to ruin you're weekend (not to mention someone else's tent)

Ho ho ho. Yes. We tested it out on the weekend. I'm very glad since he couldn't tell the bedroom from the other area. Now he knows how it works it shouldn't be a problem for him. To leave it in the bag and wait for me to sort it all out. Ho ho ho.
No I think he's still up for putting it up himself, so if anybody sees a six foot invisible bunny trying to erect a Coleman 500 bispace, offer him a hand and we'll introduce you to Jimmy Stewart.

Or a beer if you prefer.

Beer is the universal currency for assistance with tent erection Even a novice should be able to sort out that tent in under half an hour. You should demand that it's all set up and a cool beer waiting for you on your arrival

I don't believe it. I've got Friday off to bark orders at him. "BEDFACINGWEST! SHADE! TOO CLOSE TO TOILETS! TOO FAR FROM TOILETS! TAKE IT DOWN AND START AGAIN! ROLL ME A ... pasty ... WHERE'S THE ALKASELTER??!??! ESPRESSO DAQUIRIS NOW! NOW NOW NOW! YOU ARE MAN - SORT IT OUT" All that sort of jazz.
Ah I love a day off.

the thing is there is always plenty of space at greenman so there is no real need to use tape to mark your territory.

the thing is there is always plenty of space at greenman so there is no real need to use tape to mark your territory. 'tis true ... but if you want to reserve a bit of space for mates that are arriving later than yourself, no one should be offended by your doing so. If you want a really quiet camping area with lots of room, there's an 'overflow' space right at the back of the live-in vehicles area. It's a bit further from the main arena and car park but not excessively so and it had only a smattering of tents last year.
