I've heard that Green Man is the sort of place where people sometimes take an acoustic guitar and play tunes round the campfire late into the night. It sounds great, a bunch of people strumming away. Is anyone taking a guitar?

I'm not gonna chance damaging one, but it is nice if there's a couple about.
I think it was late on the Saturday Night last year where there was a big circle of us, taking turns to sit in the middle and do a song.
Don't forget, no camp-fires in the actual camping area - there is a big fire near the Green Man Cafe for people to congregate round late at night.

Rog, I've acquired one from a mutual friend. Me and your bro are going halves on Neil's guitar, which is a cheap and cheerful one which he's selling to us for 25 quid. If it survives the festival, great. If not, we've only lost £12.50's worth of guitar each.
You'll be welcome to play it as long as you don't mind doing your amazing upside-down guitar trick.

I would if I had your supernatural ability to play the guitar upside down.

I got some fresh strings for the cheap guitar and put them on tonight. You could walk under the action on the thing, so I am going to have to mess about with the truss rod, something that I hate even thinking about.
I want to sort it out a bit though, because it sounds surprisingly allright and is okay for the purpose apart from the mile-high action.
Is anyone dead good at truss rods and can talk me through the process? Even though it was cheap, I don't want to trash it before I even get to the festival.

Our cheap guitar was drunkenly decorated the other night. It got a fair bit more attention with the Tipp-Ex pen after this one was taken...
