Sounds about right. Second tranche used to be in March, with first late January when non-Earlybird tickets went on sale. An enviable position for them to be in though. Not that many festivals are pretty much guaranteed to sell their entire allocation of tickets in a morning with no details of lineup announced.

Going to see these in Clwb tonight. A newish Cardiff band with bright prospects I think. Must be a shoe in for Green Man this year. If they already played last year I missed them! youtu.be/2qCZ1WSPXIw?si=oU2BY2-M6ywxCPzL

The played in the Settlement and were really good. Hope they’ll be in the main line up.

They were very good. I’d be very surprised if they’re not on main lineup this year. Nice little scene going on around Cardiff at the minute with Half Happy, Family Battenberg, CVC, and Panic Shack. All really different. Waterpistol sound promising too.

Went to see "an intimate piano performance from Lambchop" last night. It's about the 6th or 7th time I've seen Kurt Wagner in various guises, and this frankly knocked the rest out of the park. Just the seriously brilliant newish pianist Andrew Broder and Kurt (with no guitar or anything) playing slow and soulful- sometimes barely recognisable- versions of Lambchop songs. No gaps or banter Broder seemlessly linking one song to the next. And it worked brilliantly. Only slight criticism is that a few more of the "hits" would have been great, but we did get The Man Who Loved Beer, which I think is their best song. And made me think they'd be the perfect walled garden headliner.

Saw The Gentle Good, Gwilym Rhys Bowen and Iwan Huws (of Cowbois Rhos Bottwnog) in a church in Montgomery on Saturday. A lovely evening though three hours sitting on a pew is tough.
Iwan told me the Cowbois will be playing Green Man this year. Don’t miss ‘em!

Muireann Bradley self confirmed she’s playing Green Man on August 18. One of the few decent things on Jools’ Hootenanny this year.

big hole in dehd's US tour schedule between june and october
presume that means they'll be promoting the new record in europe at that point - and either playing GM or EOTR
same for thus love - who have a single UK date at brighton psych fest on 30th august
which puts them in the running for both
though as they were at GM last year, EOTR more likely
and while we're on wilfully glam acts out of the US (which seems to be mostly what i'm listening to in 2024 so far), we should see the insanely good malice k at one or the other too - with his debut full length coming out on jagjaguwar this year
saw his first non US show on tuesday in a weird basement bar in london
if the world is ready for eliott smith songcraft twinned with iggy pop stagecraft, he's this year's big thing

Any love here for Tapir!? Not had a chance to listen yet but hearing good things about their new album. A good fit for Green Man from what I’ve heard.

A good fit for Green Man from what I’ve heard. they played at broadside hacks' nick drake night and did an absolutely fantastic version of hazey jane II but haven't been able to get into their own stuff quite as much would certainly check them out at GM, though, if they played

I’ve seen Tapir! a few times, including at Green Man 2022. I’ve found them pleasant but a tad dull each time I’ve seen them to be honest despite liking their recorded stuff. Really rate the debut album though and am hoping they continue to get more interesting as a live proposition as well. Could see them being back at Green Man this year. They did EOTR last year.

There's a lot of potential top-of-bill options there. Think the Decemberists would be a nice choice especially- don't think they've played GM, or did they do one of the years I missed?
Saw an absolutely barnstorming Lankum gig the other night. Maybe a bit soon for them to be back, but Rachael Lavelle in support (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZjfrSINXzg) would be a great booking for an afternoon slot. Not sure the Lankum crowd were all in on it but I reckon GM would love her.

BPB, phosphorescent, mary lattimore, thus love, malice K, RVG, bill ryder-jones, king hannah, bonny doon
GM are going to have to go a long way to beat that
though does look as though they'll get the decemberists, at least

Very impressed with the line up for what will be my second ever EOTR (although still yet to convinced about Idles).
Reckon just over three weeks to go now until we get the GM line-up, fingers crossed for the Decemberists.

Wow that's very impressive indeed. It's a pain for me to get to EOTR date and location-wise, but if the GM lineup is underwhelming I may be attempting some ticket switching.

Yeah I really like the EOTR line up. Quite surprised they’ve got Yo La Tengo and Sleater Kinney as non-headliners.
Fever Ray, Cornelius, Blue Lake, Sanam all very nice bookings.
I do still think Green Man could look better though but it’s definitely a stronger EOTR line up at the top end than last year’s EOTR line up.
